Relinquishment paperwork has been signed!

My hands are shaking as I type this and there are tears welling in my eyes. We got word just now that Boo's bio mom has voluntarily relinquished her parental rights so that we can adopt Boo. Our prayers these past 2 years have finally been answered! Thank you so much to all of you who have stood by us during these difficult times! We are so blessed!

More later. I need to go have a good cry now.

  3. Praise the Lord! When you didn't blog for so long I feared the worst, when you posted after all that time I was thrilled to hear she was still with you. Now, to hear you get to adopt her...well, coming from a foster mom in a situation similar, this is a dream come true!

So, glad to hear your tears are TEARS OF JOY!

  10. Oh, I have been praying and hoping so hard for you! I'm SO happy! Rejoicing for you and your whole family. Be sure to archive your blog for yourself. Someday, Boo may have questions, and it will help to read how HARD you fought to keep her and how HARD it was for her birth mom to give her up. This little girl will know she was *loved.*

  11. I have feared the worse all this time since it had been months since you posted. I have been behind in reading blogs and went reading them today. I am so happy to hear all the updates. I am so glad that the paperwork has been signed. Can't wait to hear about the adoption going though and being finalized. I rejoice with you at this time.

  18. That is so wonderful! We are getting close to finalizing our adoption, and similar to your situation, the bio mom relinquished her rights after about 15 months. We now are fostering her little sister...and so starts the whole thing over again. We are praying for another miracle! I'm very happy for you and your family!!!

I have been keeping you in my prayers and have thought of you so often. I wasn't sure if you were coming back to your blog or not. I have tears in my eyes as I read your past several posts ... I feel your sadness about Boo's Mom and your joy in being able to adopt your precious angel. Hugs :)

I just stopped over from Lisa's blog - and what a blessing! I know the pain of experiencing infertility before God finally answered our prayers (4 years), but I cannot fathom the journey of loving a child so intensely with the risk they might be taken away! You are such a courageous woman! Congratulations on your answered prayers! Blessed Assurance!I don't know you, but I think I could cry for joy with you:)
