WFMW (removing adhesive from walls)

Happy Wednesday to you! It's time once again to post another WFMW tip!

The other day Snuggle Bug plastered several stickers on our mirrors and walls (it's amazing what happens when you have your back turned for 2 minutes) and I couldn't get them off just by trying to peel them off.

After doing a Google search, I tried the suggestion of using a blow-dryer to soften the adheasive of the stickers and remove them from these nonplastic surfaces. Guess what? It worked! And now those stickers are way up out of his reach!

Using a blow-dryer to remove stickers works for me. To find out what works for others, be sure to check out the other links at Shannon's, the creator of Works-For-Me Wednesday!

My past WFMW entries are found here.

One last note:

Please join me in sharing any hot deals that you know of for toys, books, and other gifts, either online or in stores. It might be a sale that you have confirmed is taking place. It might be a coupon that you found online or in your mailbox. It might be a mail-in-rebate that you learned about recently. It might be the most reasonably priced product you’ve found when you’ve done your cost comparisons. Anything that might save us some money during our holiday shopping is acceptable (keep it clean, this is a family-friendly website)!

If you know of any really hot deals for Christmas this year, please let me know on my Hot Deals for a Cool Christmas post. Thanks!

Becca has been amazing about stickers only being on paper (I get her little journals form the dollar store to put them in) but that is a hot tip in case!

I never would have thought of using a hair dryer! Definitely going to remember this one. My son loves stickers and I am just waiting for that day when he "decorates" my walls.

Hmmm, great idea!

Maybe a steammachine will work with stickers on less delicate places.

This tip is priceless!! Thank you for sharing it, because Lord knows, I'll probably need one day, as Hunter seems to get into EVERYTHING the nano-second I turn my head!

How's your jewelry business going?

Wow, I wish I had known this one years ago! But, I am sure it will come in handy for my daughter and I with Alexys!

God Bless!

That is a good trick. My sister told me that after she worked in a home store that sold alot of framed prints. They actually kept a hair dryer right at the register.

That is a good tip. Once my two year old took a permanent marker to our leather chair, window sill, and himself in a matter of minutes. Alcohol took it right off. Mothers they need their bag of tricks.

This worked great for me too when I had to remove a wallpaper border from my son's nursery so many years ago. Sigh.
