Adoption #2- still waiting
Just thought I'd let you know that absolutely NOTHING has transpired with our application since I last updated you all on our process.
I was lead to believe that our licensing agent was putting the finishing touches on our paperwork and her Homestudy report and was just about to turn it over to her boss for review when I spoke to her on 7 August.
Apparently that is not the case. When I hadn't heard from her in over a week, I emailed her and asked her if her boss had reviewed our application and forwarded it on to the state yet.
She emailed back to tell me that she was getting ready to turn everything over to her boss for final review.
So, for the past week and a half our application has been sitting in limbo. Ugh!!! I wonder how long it'll take for the agency to put their stamp of approval on it and get it turned in to the state? It takes 30-60 days from the time that the state receives it to approve us (as I hope they will), so we still have a lot of waiting in store.
This is the frustrating part...we've done all we can do and now it's out of our hands. I guess all that's left to do is pray.

I really understand how frustrating
having to wait is. Hope it helps knowing somebody is praying for you about this.
What helps me when an outcome is in someone else's hands, is to get busy dealing with something else that I can do something about.
Love and prayers.
God's timing.
God's timing.
Hugs to you both :)
I heard a good quote about patience this weekend and for the life of me cannot remember what it is
Hang in there.
and pray, we shall...

Ugh...red tape drives me crazy!
Praying for you!
Im praying for you.
Anxiously waiting with you. I promise, the wait will be worth it. I swear... =)
now that is frustrating! I'm sorry your paperwork has just been sitting there all this time!
After doing one state adoption and getting ready to start a second, the one thing I can tell you is that it takes FOREVER to get anything done. Keep calling and checking up on them - it will speed them along! My husband and I have a running joke that DSS got so tired of hearing from us that they finally gave us our girl... :)
Ugh it must be so hard to wait!
It will happen when it is suppose to as hard that is while waiting!
Ugh indeed! Slow moving is still moving too I guess. But wow, it never seems to match the rate of our adrenalin and excitement to get things done and finally settle down with the long-awaited child!
We recently found a new agency to work with - they seem pretty fast paced so far, but still the time drags as I daily imagine the joy of anticipating having my children around me.
The waiting and paperwork. I know that all too well!
