Happy Mother's Day!
Today is Mother's Day. I love it! What a wonderful feeling to be recognized as a mother. Oronzo, Snuggle Bug, and I went to mass, then out for brunch. Snuggle Bug has been in rare form, flirting with little kids in the pew behind us and then with two little girls at the restaurant, flashing his million dollar smile that melts hearts everywhere. For some reason, he's been more snuggly today that usual, giving Oronzo and I frequent hugs. Now we're at home relaxing while Snuggle Bug naps. Tonight we're going to go to an outdoor pops concert and listen to great performers under the stars!

I was looking at Snuggle Bug closely today, thinking wistful thoughts about all the things I love about him. I've decided to make a list, just to reflect:

I guess it's safe to say that I love my child. I absolutely adore being a mother. It's exceeded my wildest expectations. God has blessed me more than words can express. I pray that we're fortunate enough to adopt a second child, sometime soon.

Oh, one last thought. My SIL has gone into pre-mature labor at 32 weeks. Her water has broken and the baby will probably be born today, instead of the due date of July 16th. The doctors are hopeful that all will be well, but your prayers for the safe arrival of my niece/nephew would be much appreciated!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mother's out there, including all the birth/first mother's out there. There's a special prayer in my heart for Giselle.

Many prayers for your sister and her baby. 32 weeks is a good, strong number. Keep us updated!

I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day!

I had my first son at 32 weeks and he did fine. He was born quickly so we had no steroid interventions and feared the worst, but he came out breathing and screaming and after learning to suck a bottle and plumping his weight on, he went home 3 weeks later. I hope all goes well.

Your list is so beautiful I'm crying. You have been blessed, and it's such a joy and privilege to see you count the ways!
