Favorite Ingredients Friday- Refreshing Drinks Edition II
Good Friday! It's time for a special Favorite Ingredients Friday: Refreshing Drinks II recipe exchange! Last year I got a lot of great recipes that I was able to use for refreshing drinks for the summer and throughout the year. I'm excited to see what you all come up with this year!
I have a couple of drink idea that I found on Associated Content.
Fizzy Twist
1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup cranberry juice
1/3 cup ginger ale
Mix the orange and cranberry juices over ice. Then, add the ginger ale.
Milky Strawberries
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup milk
1½ Tbsp simple syrup
½ Tbsp vanilla
Mix all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into a chilled glass or cup. You can add a sliced fresh strawberry on top as well if you'd like.
Patriotic Yogurt Shake
* This one is our favorite! *
Plain or vanilla yogurt
¼ cup milk
½ c frozen cherries
½ c frozen blueberries
Blend all of the ingredients using a blender but reserve a few of the blueberries and cherries. Pour the smooth, blended drink into a cup and top off with the few reserved cherries and blueberries.
Now, I look forward to seeing your Favorite Ingredients Friday: Refreshing Drinks recipe!
Don't forget to link your specific recipe post link on Mr. Linky so I can see what's cooking at your house!
Oh, and be sure to put the title of your recipe in parenthesis! It makes it so much quicker for me to go back and search for recipes as I build my weekly menu.
