Anyone live in Destin, FL or surrounding areas?
Anyone live in Destin, Ft. Walton Beach, or surrounding Florida areas?I'm in the airport right now, waiting to board a plane to fly to Ft. Walton Beach, FL. I'll be staying in Destin and working at Eglin AFB for the next two weeks, through 26 September.
As always, I'll miss my family but hopefully the work will keep me busy enough that the two weeks flies by. And there are worse places to be than FL. Of course, I'm hoping we won't run into any hurricanes while we're there. We have a hurricane evac plan in place, just in case.
Anyway, let me know if you live in the area! :)

We live in NJ, but will be visiting our condo in Panama City Beach next week! I haven't seen any hurricanes starting up on the nhc.noaa website, so you should be good re the weather. Enjoy some sunsets!!

My mom lives right outside of Destin.. so its possible we may be down your way while your there.. (my grandfather worked at Eglin... its a nice place)

We are visiting Panama City Beach on 10/4...I guess we will miss you. Enjoy those pretty sunsets.
Man, I love that place!!! I haven't been to Destin in years, so we need to go back. Maybe you can have some fun even though you're there on business!
ARGH!!!! We were in SeaSide for a WEEK and just got back home. I would have loved to meet you in real life. We drove into Destin a few times during our stay.
