Holiday Cooking, Blogger Style- My Recipes
I have two family favorite recipes to share for my 2nd annual Holiday Cooking, Blogger Style recipe exchange! I hope you enjoy them!
The first one is from my older sister, Tia. She makes this for nearly every family gathering. We all love it. I've made this myself a time or two, but it never turns out as good as it does when Tia makes it, go figure!
Scalloped Corn Supreme
Ingredients:
1 lb. can (2 cups) cream corn
1 small package frozen corn
1 well beaten egg
1 cup cracker crumbs
1/2 cup buttered cracker crumbs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup diced onion
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Preparation:
Heat corn & milk in a saucepan.
Gradually stir in egg.
Add remaining ingredients, all but the buttered cracker crumbs.
Mix well and pour into a 8" round casserole dish.
Sprinkle buttered cracker crumbs over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 6.
The next one is one of Oronzo's holiday favorites! He could drink this by the gallon. It's quite rich and decedent but oh so yummy!

That sounds like good eggnog and I love the scalloped corn but not as much as my kids! It is a standard in our home on any holiday.

Hi, I've missed you. Somehow I am way behind in life.
The carnival looks super. I'll have to round up one of mine and post it. Your recipes sound yummo.
How divine!!!!
Thanks for the recipes. I love "real" egnog.
That corn dish sounds a lot like a corn pudding recipe my mother had. Today, a family member makes a corn casserole that has cornbread in it, and yum, it's delicious!
