Let me see a show of hands, who's going to see this movie?
Okay, I'd like to see a show of hands here. Who's going to see S*X and The City: The Movie? It's in theaters starting tomorrow. Don't be shy, leave me a comment and let me know either way.
I must confess that I've been eagerly anticipating this movie for about...oh I'd say the past 2 years or so...since whenever the T.V. series ended. Back then, I made my husband pay for HBO just so that I could watch this series. And when it was all over, I went out and purchased the entire DVD set.
My husband gleefully informed me that he's read that there are already bad reviews for this movie (as a man he doesn't understand what all the hype is about). I think that any true S*X and The City fan is going to be hard-pressed to give this movie a bad review!
Personally, as long as Carrie and Big get married in the end, I'll be happy! I'll find out this weekend when I go see the movie with a bunch of my girlfriends. Plus, I can't wait to see all of wacky yet fun designer outfits the ladies will be wearing throughout the movie!
My husband has already been fair warned that he'll be in charge of dinner and bedtime routine that night because I'll be unavailable!
Just for fun, I thought I'd share some of the movie promo pictures I've found online. Enjoy!

if I wasn't moving this weekend I would so be there on Friday but I am going to have to wait a week.
me and 16 friends are going Sunday night and maybe for a margaritas afterwards to discuss it...whoo hoo!
I'm a BIG S*X and the City fan. I'm going to definitely see it.
You know, I have never seen a whole episode of SITC, but there's so much hype about the movie, I kind of want to see it. I did learn recently that my 81-year old mom is a BIG FAN of the show, which I think is a hoot! Yea for her! Perhaps she can fill me in and we can see the movie together!
Sorry, not going. I saw a couple episodes a few years ago (DVD party with some girlfriends) and decided that was not the lifestyle I wanted to think about each week.
You asked for comments either way! :)
To be honest and I hope not to shock anyone ----- I have never watched the series. Not one show in its entirety. I know... I am just more of an Austen fan... British movie-TV fan. So, I don't think I will pay to see it but if it comes on TV I will.
I hope you don't hold this against me.
wow, that's quite some dress, isn't it?
I must admit that I've watched the series in reruns, and it's a fun show, but I will not be going to see the movie. I have a policy not to see any R rated movies.
But I'd like to hear your opinion of the movie.
oh, oh, oh, me, me, me, I'm going!!!I am treating my son's best friend, yes his best friend is a girl to movie and lunch tomorrow. We're going to the first show and then out for lunch while my son stays home and babysits...She's the girl I was hoping he'd marry, but he went away to the Navy, and she fell in love with another guy and got married and had a baby who's 7 months old and has stolen our hearts, but that's okay, she;ll always be family...besides I get to be mom-mom cruz, so it all worked out for the best - and, i told her if it doesn't work out with her hubby, my son is still available!!!!hehehehehe
I did like the early shows of SITC but the later episodes got a little to racey for me. I probably wont go. I usually don't see R rated movies. Hope you enjoy though, email me and tell me all about it!!!
Nope!! Never have never will....
so, what did you think of the movie? i loved it...but they should have a disclaimer that no one under 18 should be allowed to see this- ever! not that saw anyone with youngsters was in the theater, but whooooo-hoooooo baby. i would see it again...
Briggie- I loved, loved, loved it! I'd definitely see it again too. I'm sure I'll buy the movie when it comes out on DVD. I'll probably post my official review of the movie this weekend!
