A baby girl joins our family!

Unhappy about 1st bath!

I have a new niece and she's healthy and beautiful! My brother, Cole, and his wife, Madeline, didn't want to find out of the baby was a boy or a girl during the pregnancy. I'm told that as Madeline was pushing and the baby's head came out, she looked down and said, "Well, I guess we got another boy" because the baby's face looks exactly like her big brother, Aiden's, face did as a newborn. Cole watched as the doctor pulled her all the way out and said, "No, it's a girl!" Needless to say, they are tickled pink to have gotten a little girl! We couldn't be happier for them!

The baby was born weighing 8 lbs., 1 1/2 oz and was 21" long. Not too shabby for a girl, eh!

The picture I'm sharing is of her first bath. She was not a happy camper! I suspect she's going to be a feisty one, just like her auntie! :)

So far my nephew, Aiden, is doing great with having a baby sister. I think the presents from Grandma and Grandpa helped smooth the way upon her arrival.

Cole & Madeline have given my niece a beautiful name...I'm reluctant to share it here on this blog but I'll tell you that it starts with an "E". Do you care to guess her name? Leave your guess in my comments section and I'll email you if you guess it correctly. Be creative on your guesses!

Congrats on your new niece! She is beautiful! I was going to guess Emma since that is a pretty popular name right now, but since that name was already guessed, I'm going to go with Emily.

I'm guessing Eliza. That's one of my daughter's little friends and I love the name.

Hmmm...how about Ella?

She's beautiful! Hubby says that we will not find out the sex of the baby when we're pregnant...but he's going to get some push-back about that one! =)

Hi! I came over from Tracey's for a visit. I LOVE your Ireland pix. We went to Dublin in April (check out my pix from April posts and insight about hospitality). We want to go back and take our kids, it was so beautiful.
I'm gong to guess, "Emma!"

She's a cutie! At 8+ pounds, she looks like a one-month old! My friend had a 9.3 pounder and he looked older than a newborn!

I'll guess Elisabeth on your niece's name.

Congratulations! At first I thought the name might be Elizabeth (like my daughter), but now I am guessing Erin.

Re adoptions: I have two friends who adopted a little boy who is now 2 years old. It is a whole new world for them. I have another friend who may be adopting a girl from Russia. She is 10 years old and is coming here shortly for a month. If it works out she will be adopted. My friend is 57 and single -- again, it will be a new world for her. I can't think of anything in this world more beautiful than adoption.

My guess was Emma, but it is so popular right now and you said to be creative in our guess. Elizabeth is beautiful too....but I am still trying to decide. I like Emily, Emilia, Eliza....oh I don't know this is fun. This is what we did to people when we had baby number two, gave them a letter and had them guess...no one guessed correctly! Now that we have two girl that their initials are KBS I am sure that the family will be "prepared" for the next little one!

Wow she looks a lot like my daughter. She was 9lbs 3 oz though.

Well we were going to name our child Elestrin so that's my first guess although I'm sure it's wrong since I'm the only person in the world who knows it's a name. (or so it seems. lol)

What about Elena?
