Five Ingredients Friday (Fruit Pops)
It's time to exchange recipes for Five Ingredients Friday! Back to posting recipes of 5 ingredients or less.
It's hot here and I'm always looking for cool treats for Snuggle Bug.
This recipe is something that I concocted at home.
I've been a bit leery of giving Snuggle Bug popsicles from the grocery store because I don't think they're exactly healthy. So, when I found a freezer pop mold, I bought it and decided to try to make my own healthier popsicles.
Fruit Pops
Ingredients
1 banana
1 peach
1 container of vanilla yogurt
splash of oj
Directions
Peel the banana and the peach (or whatever fruit combo you'd like to try). Throw fruit & yogurt into a blender and blend on pulse.
Add a splash of oj to create a smooth consistency.
Pour mixture into popsicle molds.
Put in freezer and let them freeze overnight before serving.
As you can see, Snuggle Bug liked them and I think you will too!
I look forward to seeing your Five Ingredients Friday recipe!

That sounds yummy!
I am so making these for Kayla! I make fruit smoothies and she just slurps those right up, so I know she'll like these as well!
He is sooooo cute!
That sounds really yummy and refreshing.
Ohhh, sounds yummy. Here is a healthy low fat treat for you. In your blender add 1 cup 8oz vanilla yogurt, a half cup of low sugar orange juice, few cubes of ice, fresh strawberries, one banana a splash of low fat milk. 1 tsp of Splenda. Blend and enjoy. It’s healthy and the kids love it too!
Sounds good. I don't have any freezer pop molds, Me and Shaylee are going shopping today so maybe i can find some.
What a great idea! And it looks like by doing that, you have a little "built-in" melted icepop guard. =)
Oh, you're creative! I just fill the molds with a watered-down juice (too much sugar makes the Princess, not so Princess), or straight soy yogurt. I totally commend you for not doing the store SugarPops, as we call 'em. Right on, healthy mama!! But when we're in a pinch & she's sick, we'll give her the Pedialyte frozen pops for the electrolytes. Once in a blue moon...
I LOVE these pics!!
How yummy! I'm definitely going to try this one.
I was just thinking about making freezer pops... my mom used to do them when I was a kid! By the way, snuggle bug looks SO SWEET in those photos!
Oh, how cute is he with his tasty popsicles? I like that recipe - super healthy! We have those popsicle molds, too!
Thanks for that one! Yummy. And he's obviously loving it! So cute.
What a terrific idea...my boys may be grown but when they come home they still like treats like that! lol Ok ok I do too:-)
Definitely trying this one out :)
sounds delicious...even for a big girl like me ;))
totally trying the fruit pops...loving that they are so nutritious!
Oh I love popcycles! I'm so going to try this! I like anything frozen!
SnuggleBug is so cute!
I'm loving the idea of recipes with five ingredients. Is there any way you can make sure they are five ingredients I actually have in my house? :-D
So I made them. I was all excited we had peaches, bananas, yogurt and OJ. I was feeling so fortunate. I peeled the peach, my hubby showed me a trick, made it very easy. Then went to make them, the blender had been violated. Used and not rinsed. So I decided to freeze the peach. Today we made them. DD had 3 bananas peeled before I could check the recipe. So 3 it was. The OJ was all gone so I used a splash of lemon. I used a 32oz vanilla yogurt. And BRZZZSHVRMM Mixed it up. I happened to still have my popsicle molds. We still had half a blender full so we had smooties. Delicious!!! Thanks for sharing!
I love the name Snuggle Bug!
I used to make pops for my little ones.
When we used all the homemade jam, and it was just a coating in the jar, I would pour in milk, shake it up and make that into pops!
The kids loved them and I didn't waste the little bit of jam leftover.
I thought it was certainly healthier than koolaid.
