Pictures from this past weekend
Good morning Blogland! How was your weekend? Good, I hope!

We were out of town this past weekend, at Oronzo's parents' house. Snuggle Bug had a great time with the ranch animals. It took me a while but Blogger has finally allowed me to post some pictures!

Snuggle Bug visiting the horses & donkeys- 8/12/06
A goat comes to check out Snuggle Bug.
The goat gets up close and personal.
Snuggle Bug decides he's had enough of the goat.

The goat persistently follows!

I think if Snuggle Bug were allowed, he'd spend all daylight hours outside! He loves not only the outdoors, but the also the animals. The donkeys are his favorite and he spent the entire weekend tugging at our hands to pull us along and saying, "donkey, donkey." When we didn't give in to his pleas, he'd go grab Grandma or Grandpa's hands to see if they would. He's already learned that the grandparents like to spoil him!

I love how Oronzo's parents, Aleiza and Peyton, adore taking Snuggle Bug out and about amongst their small town, showing him off to their neighbors and friends.

"This is my grandson, my oldest son's son," they proudly boast, holding him up for closer view. And when the neighbors and friends respond with a, "He's such a handsome little boy," comment Aleiza and Peyton beam with pride and pleasure.

I like our quick weekend trips to Aleiza and Peyton's house. It's a beautiful, small ranch, and so peaceful. I was able to take a long nap on Saturday and I spent the weekend catching up on my email while Snuggle Bug played with Grandma and Grandpa!

Sorry, no profound post this morning, I'm just expressing my appreciation for family!

That is a profound post. :)
It's so good to see Oronzo's parents love and be so proud of Snugglebug (as they should be)! Some folks have a hard time with the whole "adoption" thing - well, in this immediate area they do; I hope it's not that way everywhere. That really just flabbergasts (& disgusts) me that people would begrudge an adopted child, but ... that's a whole 'nuther can of worms under this soap box. :)
Back to a positive note, Snugglebug looks like he was having SO much fun! Goats are very persistent creatures. I think our dog is 1/2 goat. That would explain his consumption of hard plastics, such as sippy cups & passies. I kid you not.
Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Devyn is such an outdoors girl too, she'd sleep out there if I'd let her. I love the photos and the one of the goat following Snuggle Bug is hilarious. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my Word! The cuteness! He is georgeous! Delighted to read Oronzo's parents are so crazy about their grandson. Seeing my own parents with their granddaughter this holiday once again brought home to me how important family can be
Snugglebug is a very lucky little boy!

"appreciation for family" - quite profound enough for a post. Absolutely. Snuggle Bug looked oh so sweet, standing there gazing in. Nice you let us all see and not have to smell! Pretty generous of you.
