Glad® SimplyCooking™ Microwave Steaming Bags- get a free sample!
Maureen Rootz with Fleishman-Hillard emailed me and asked me if I'd like to try the new Glad® SimplyCooking™ Microwave Steaming Bags and, of course, I said I'd love to!

So, many of you know that thanks to my high cholesterol results I'm supposed to eat more fruits and veggies! And it doesn't count if my veggies are smothered in butter and/or cream sauce.

In the past, I've purchased fresh or frozen vegetable and steamed them over a pot of boiling water. Unfortunately, more often than not they quickly became overcooked and soggy and I have a tendency to smother them in butter in the hopes of improving the test.

Last night I threw a couple of handfuls of fresh green beans (just green beans; no butter, sauce, or water) in one of the Glad® SimplyCooking™ Microwave Steaming Bags. The bag was easy to fill because it's designed to stand upright.

Following the instructions on the bag, I steamed the green beans in my microwave for 4 minutes. They turned out perfect! They were tender and juicy, not soggy. And they tasted fantastic! I happily ate them plain this time, they were flavorful enough without any butter added!

Best of all, I had no pots or pans mess to clean up afterwards. All I had to do is rinse out the bag so that I could reuse it another time. You can't get much simpler than that!

I'll tell you what, since Maureen sent me three of these steaming bags, I'm going to offer one of them to one of you so that you can try it too! All you have to do is leave me a comment if you're interested in receiving a Glad® SimplyCooking™ Microwave Steaming Bags and I'll randomly pick a name by Friday morning. You don't even have to be a blogger.

Don't worry, if your name isn't selected to win, you can purchase these in a 10-count package for just $3 at most grocery stores.

Leave me a comment if you'd like a chance to win a free trial of this product!

I have these. They are wonderful! I must say my favorite way to eat veggies besides fresh is grilled but these bags are fabulous in the winter when I don't want to grill. Hugs!

I only found your blog yesterday and already it has had me in tears.
You are a wonderful person.
I am reading this in New Zealand as that is where I live, so I am a true lurking person as I randomly come across blogs, if I like them I save and then keep coming back for up dates, so you are now in my favourite list.
If you can find it in your heart to send to NZ then please count me in the draw. :)
