What will happen to O.J.?
I'm in Las Vegas on business (I arrived last Wednesday) and I'm staying in a hotel just down the street from the Palace Station Hotel & Casino where O.J. Simpson and other men allegedly went to the hotel room under the pretext of brokering a deal with two longtime collectors of Simpson memorabilia, entered the room, and at gunpoint ordered the collectors to hand over several items.

Let me just say, I'm no O.J. fan (I think he got away with murder) but as I'm watching the reports unfold on the news I can't help but wonder what is the truth and what isn't with this situation? The witness stories seem to be shifting.

I do know one thing for certain, O.J. used very poor judgement last week and now he's charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping; two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon; burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon; two counts of assault with a deadly weapon; conspiracy to commit kidnapping; conspiracy to commit robbery; and a misdemeanor, conspiracy to commit a crime. O.J. also faces one charge of coercion with use of a deadly weapon.

How much will he pay for that poor judgement? Will he spend many years in jail, will he just be fined? Or will his lawyer get him cleared of all charges? After watching his bail hearing it appears that he's going to be let out on $125,000 bail after surrendering his passport. His next hearing for a status is scheduled for October 22nd. Within 24 hours he'll be released from the detention center.

I can't help but wonder, what do his daughter and son think of their father? This all must be so painful for them!

So, what do you think about all of this?

I think it is about time that OJ be held accountable for his narcissistic, entitled, CRIMINAL behavior. Yup, I'm one of those Americans that believe he got away with murder. Listen to the tapes of his murdered wife's 911 calls, and his daughter's 911 call a couple of years ago. He's a brutal, violent man with way too much money and he and his lawyers love to put this "poor OJ" spin on everything. He managed to get away with threatening a motorist a few years back - another nice spin job. I hope they NAIL HIM this time. I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison where he belongs. Civilians aren't allowed to carry out "sting operations" with loaded weapons, and hold other civilians against their will. I really hope that THIS time OJ's money and this weird hold he has over the American public doesn't allow him to get away with yet another crime. *kicks away soapbox* :)

I do hope there is a positive influence for his children. Otherwise the attitudes and character could be passed down...tragic.

I feel bad for his kids too. I am worried he will get away with this too. We were talking about this at work today - he seemed to have it all and now has lost it all, including peoples respect. We'll see what happens.

It's a horrible situation all around. I have heard that those who do bad things and get away with them, will eventually get caught doing something else bad. It reminds me of the scripture about things whispered in secret will be shouted from the rooftops. Don't know if this is what the scripture was referring to, but it sure seems likely.

I beleive in Karma and it seems as though it just might be coming aroung to bite him in the butt! A long time coming, considering what he put Nicole/Ron's familier thru.

His kids I feel for them, with any luck they have some positive influences in their lives. Someone hopefully nothing like their poor excuse of a father.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. He's a violent, angry man. It was only a matter of time before he got caught, again, for his criminal behavior.
