Any bloggers is the Las Vegas area?
I'm packing today to leave for a 10-day business trip to Las Vegas. I leave tonight at 6 p.m. and I'm not going in to work before then. I'm staying home to spend precious time with Snuggle Bug before I go!
10 days, this is the longest time I will have been away from Snuggle Bug. My stomach is sick with dread, especially knowing that he had a hard time with me being in Florida for 4 1/2 days in July.
I think this time Oronzo is going to bring Snuggle Bug to the airport with me so that he can see me off. We hope that will help him understand better that I'm leaving on an airplane for work.
It's a shame too, Snuggle Bug has just gotten back to a comfort zone where he's not crying each time we're dropping him off at daycare. I fear that will start up again with my absence.
Thank goodness this is my last business trip for the year! These trips are hard on all of us! I don't know how the military personnel that I work with handle frequent deployments that take them away from their families. The longer I work with the military, the greater my respect for them increases!
Anyway, if anyone lives in the Las Vegas area, let me know. I'd love to pick a neutral spot and meet with you! It'd be a welcome distraction while I'm away from my family.
Let me know!

Wow, my heart so goes out to you! How hard this will be. I am sure you will call often. One thing we have is a webcam as does my daughter so if I have Alexys for a few days, like I did last week because my daughter was super sick with the flu, Alexys could see and "talk" as well as she does, on the webcam with her "mo-meeee!"
I can't think of any bloggers from LV? I sure hope you can meet up with someone. It must be so wonderful to meet those who you chat so much with online, blogging, etc...
God Bless and I will be praying for you all for the next 10 days.
Hugs!
Too bad I don't live in Vegas! I hope that your trip goes well, and Snuggle Bug adjusts to you being gone. It is always hard to leave children.
My dad is going on a trip there, maybe I can talk him into bringint me and the girls :)
I know you post anonymous - but I believe you posted Snuggle Bug's name - you might want to edit...
have a good time - we wnet to Vegas on our honeymoon and loved it.
I thought 10 days might be your longest business trip! Will they be able to meet you there at all or not w/Oronzo's working now? Hopefully having Snuggle Bug seeing you off will help! I hope the time goes by quickly and he adjusts to you being gone! Good luck finding someone to hook up with while you're there!
10 days? I feel your pain. Have as good a trip as you can. Remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. ;o)
Hugs to you! The 1st time I left all the girls was for 4 days and it was hard.
I would love to be in Vegas right now, might be a tad warmer than it is here.
Oh I know how heart wrenching it is leaving. When I left for 10 days to go to Europe over the summer the entire time I was gone I kept wondering if W.W. would like this or that or what would he do if he were here. I was so happy to see him at the airport when I got back to Seattle where he was staying with my parents I can't tell you!
I have a surprise for you at my blog when you have time. Come on over and take a look-see....! Hugs!
Do you know, I don't know a single blogger who lives in that area. I hope you connect with some because I know this is as hard on you as it is on your guys.
I so agree with you about the sacrifice our military make for us. Michelle, in your comments above, is a perfect example. Pregnant, due the same time my daughter's baby is due, with a 5 year old who doesn't understand where Daddy is, and her husband has deployed for over 120 days.
I wonder if people ever really stop and think about how difficult that would be. I can never ever thank them enough.
