Spiritual Nourishment, that's long overdue!
Can I just say, I think Blogger hates me? I haven't been successful in posting pictures through Blogger for a couple of days now. How frustrating! I guess I'll just have to follow Sarah’s Works-for-Me Wednesday tip for posting pictures without using the Blogger upload.
If you haven't already, please stop by and take a look at my Blog of the Week.
And now, the real message behind this post. I'm excited because tonight I'm attending an adult religious education study at my church. It's a 4 part series being held on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in one of our church halls. I have no idea how many others will be attending this study, but it doesn't really matter. God promises, "When two or more meet I will be there." I hope there's a good group though, it'll make group discussions more interesting!
It's been far too long since I've made the time for some spiritual nourishment through a study group like this. I've made excuses as to how busy I am with work, motherhood, household duties, etc. and it's all true, but I'm feeling the need for some spiritual recharging so I'm making the time to do this. Oronzo is going to stay home with Snuggle Bug and get him down to sleep so that I can go and give my undivided attention to this study. I hate taking time away from Snuggle Bug, even just an hour, but I need to carve a bit of time for myself too.
So the book we're studying, Antioch & Rome, New Testament Cradles of Catholic Christianity, looks promising! Following the advice of Stephanie’s Works-for-Me Wednesday tip I had my paperback book spiral bound at Kinko's and I love it! It'll be much easier to take notes in now.

So, how do you rejuvinate yourself?
**edited to add**
The class went well! There were about 21 other people in attendance and this first part was like an interesting history lesson. It was done lecture style by our parish priest, but with questions encouraged along the way. I'm excited to read a few chapters in this book this weekend and discuss topics with Oronzo!
Those that sat around me marveled at my spiral bound book. Several asked me where I got it and I explained that I had purchased the paperback and then took it to Kinkos. While others were jotting notes on notebook paper, I was taking notes within my book with ease. It was wonderful, definitely worth the $5.00 at Kinko's! Thanks again for the tip, Stephanie!

Cool! Sounds interesting. Enjoy.
Blogger always gives me problems uploading pictures. As for rejuvinating myself... usually taking a walking and if that doesn't work, I come home and take a bubble bath :)
being in my Church always rejuvenates me. Also Ill take one night and go to bed around 8 or 9 and get a full nights rest...that helps to.
Hope you enjoy the group. And I'm glad you're carving time for yourself!
I think sometimes we, as parents, get so caught up in our children and making sure we're spending time with them, that we forget WE are important too. I think it's great you are taking this time out just for you, even though you'll miss Thur evenings with Snuggle Bug. I hope you enjoy the group discussions!
I don't think we can ever spend enough time with our kids, I don't care how old they are. I simply love to be with my kids. Even when we are doing nothing. My daughter ran over the our camp today and was gone for a whole 15 minutes or less and came in a swooped up her little bundle of joy like she had been gone a week. It was just too cute! But, yes we do have to talke time for ourselves. It is so important.
Also, I am very much praying for your next child. God does have the perfect bundle in mind for you all! God Bless!

Thanks for linking to my WFMW post! It looks like you got the picture uploaded ok. I hope the class is a blessing for you - may you grow in the knowledge and grace of God
Enjoy your group. I pray you draw closer to God through it! My husband and I do a Bible Study (small group) once a week at our home with couples in our church. Right now we are doing Gripped By the Greatness of God by James MacDonald (our Pastor) it is very good:)Let us know how yours goes:)
glad to hear that the first class went so well and had so many in attendance! Sounds like it's going to be a great group discussion!
Oooh, love Stephanie's tip...and good for you taking time outside of mass for bible study. We find the beach inspirational or a long walk amongst nature with prayer and whorship very uplifting :)
