Five Ingredients Friday (Sloppy Joe Casserole)

It's Friday again and time for another recipe Five Ingredients Friday exchange!
I'm a big fan of casseroles, possibly because they're usually quicky and easy to make and comforting to eat, especially in the fall and winter months. I have an entire cookbook devoted to just casseroles!

With that in mind, my Five Ingredients Friday recipe for this week is...

Sloppy Joe Casserole

Ingredients
  1. 1 pound lean ground beef
  2. 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  3. 1 (15.5 ounce) can sloppy Joe sandwich mix
  4. 1 (11 ounce) can Mexi-corn whole kernel corn with red and green peppers, undrained
  5. 1 (6 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk flaky biscuits
Preparation
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In large skillet, brown ground beef with onions; drain. Stir in sloppy Joe sauce and corn.
  3. Cook 2-3 minutes or until heated thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spoon mixture into ungreased 1 to 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  5. Separate dough into 5 biscuits; cut each in half. Arrange, cut side down, around outside edge of hot mixture with sides of biscuits touching.
  6. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown.

I look forward to seeing your Five Ingredients Friday recipe! Don't forget to link your blog on this post so I can see what's cooking at your house!

Oh, and be sure to put the title of your recipe in parenthesis! It makes it so much quicker for me to go back and search for recipes as I build my weekly menu.

Thanks so much for your participation! I do appreciate it!

Ha, finally got to be first on one of these things! That's not saying much; I can't sleep tonight.

My husband would love the Sloppy Joe casserole and it looks like a good one to take to potlucks also.

Hello. I just started reading your blogs, and I was glad that the first entry I came across with was about cooking! I am a newly married woman in my twenties, who is just starting to get used to domestic life. (Remember how it was?) Cooking is key to a happy wife's soul, I realized. My blog site is mostly about married life in the twenties.

I'll post a recipe or two within the week.
