Happy New Year- a little late!
Okay, I know I'm a bit late on the Happy New Year wishes. It's a good thing I didn't make a new Year's resolution to be more punctual! :)
I've been skimming through various blogs and seeing many posts about New Year's resolutions. I must admit, I don't do New Year's resolutions because I feel as though I'm just setting myself up for failure. It's rare that I've ever been able to fulfill my resolutions.
If I were to have a New Year's resolution this year, it would be to resolve to do my Christmas shopping throughout the year, rather than waiting to start the week before. This past Christmas was BRUTAL! I've always been a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to Christmas shopping but this past year was the most stressful of all. Maybe it was because I was shopping for my own little guy and more nieces and nephews than in the past. I really hope to watch for sales throughout the year, make my purchases and be done by November. Can you all provide me with gentle reminders throughout the year?
So, for those of you that DO believe in New Year's resolutions, what are your resolutions for 2007? How do you plan to achieve these goals? Leave me a comment, I'd love to know!

I posted my resolutions on my blog and hope that I can fullfill most of them! And Happy New Year to you too!!!!
Happy New Year to you as well. Stop my my blog and see my Thursday Thirteen. 2 of them deal with shopping early for christmas and resolutions.
I promise myself the same thing every year, that I'll shop sales throughout the year and be completely done before Thanksgiving. I haven't accomplished that yet but who knows, this might be my year! I'll remind you if you'll remind me.
:-)
I am just looking to survive this next year .... after that skies the limit!
I've kept my resolution for years. Several years ago I resolved to never make another New Year's resolution. It's the only one I've ever kept. :o)
I do npt make resolutions for the same reason, I do not want to feel failure. I do make goals that I renew each year, lifelong goals. They usually involved self improvement. Taking care of Mommy takes care of my family!
I am with you on the "spreading Christmas out" thing, not only for stress reasons, but also for budgeting.
hey there! i've been reading your site for favorite ingredient fridays for a couple months now and trying to follow along with your adoption story. i like your site. you can go here http://www.xanga.com/singinole/560307232/some-goals.html to check out my goals. i'm like you, i don't make resolutions. but these are goals of characteristics i'd like to cultivate in my life this year. have a good day!
I am like you, I don't do resolutions but I have a lot of hopes for the New Year and I like to make plans but am also flexible...it keeps me sane ☺
I like Magi "resolution" ;)
God Bless You!
I don't do the resolutions either! Happy New Year to you, Oronzo and Snuggle Bug!
I will be more than happy to remind you throughout the year. I think you and I have similar feelings about the shopping that happened this holiday season!!
You know...I think it would be great if we would start our shopping earlier than what we do too...
Oh I agree, this Christmas was brutal. I felt rushed the entire holiday season. I usually try to have everything done by the first week in Dec. so I can enjoy the last two weeks baking and doing the things I love but this year was hectic to the end.
I tried to put a new spin on the whole resolution thing. I think you read it. We'll see how it goes. ;o)
