Five Ingredient Friday (Raspberry Crème Brulee)

It's finally Friday, thank goodness! It's time again for my Five Ingredients Friday recipe exchange! Thank you to all who participate. I'm excited to see new faces so please spread the word!

My Five Ingredients Friday recipe for this week is a decedent dessert that you shouldn't probably eat very often, but once in a while isn't so bad. Are you ready? Here it is!

Raspberry Crème Brulee
Ingredients
5 large egg yolks
2 c heavy cream
¾ c sugar
½ c white chocolate chips
4 T raspberry jam

Optional: fresh raspberries for garnish

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°. Heat the cream in a saucepan, remove just before it boils. In a mixing bowl, combine yolks and sugar with a whisk. Spoon a T of raspberry jam into the bottom of each ramekin. Add the white chocolate chips and hot cream to the yolk mixture and stir well. Divide mixture into 4 ramekins and place in a baking pan. Fill the baking pan with water about ½ way up the side of the ramekin. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the mixture sets. Remove the ramekins and chill.

Before serving, sprinkle the top of each ramekin with ½ T sugar and caramelize with a kitchen torch (I love the one I got at Bed Bath & Beyond!). Garnish with fresh raspberries.

I look forward to seeing your Five Ingredients Friday recipe! Don't forget to link your blog on this post so I can see what's cooking at your house! Do me a favor, put in parenthesis your recipe title, like EaglesWings did. Thanks EaglesWings!

P.S. Anything that you list as optional doesn't really count toward your 5 ingredient maximum, just so you know. :)

I love the simplicity of this. The baked french toast looks great. Hopefully by next week I can jump in and join all of you. This dessert looks perfect for my sewing group; they're not that into counting calories.

By the way, I went in and printed out Sarah's WFME on blogger tips. Thanks a bunch for that too.

It's technically still Friday, so I hope I'm not too late. I love Creme Brulee and my husband loves raspberry. Sounds like we have a winner here.
