WFMW (12 lbs 'til Christmas)
It's time to post yet another WFMW tip.

Everyone knows that the holiday season is not the right time to be trying to loose weight. Just to make you're not tempted to diet, you might consider doing a 12 lbs 'til Christmas goodie sharing at work.

This idea was introduced to me by some of the ladies that I work with. We're doing this at my company right now and it's been fabulous! Everyone seems to be willing to take their turn at bringing in goodies and we all love having something yummy to look forward to each moring!

12 lbs 'til Christmas!

  1. Make a daily sign-up sheet that covers two weeks (more or less days are fine) until Christmas. The sign-up sheet should have dates listed, as well as sections for names & items being brought. If you want a sample copy, leave me your email address and I'll email you one.
  2. Send out an email to all your co-workers asking for particaption. Here's what you might say in the email:

Please join us in our 12 lbs 'til Christmas goodie sharing efforts. For the next two weeks, leading up to Christmas, we're asking two people per day to sign up to bring goodies for everyone in the office. You can bring cakes, cookies, breads, or any other baked goods that you like. These goodies can be homemade or purchased.

Sign up sheets can be found taped to the door at the main entrance.

Be sure to stop by the breakroom each morning to see what scrumptous goodies are waiting to tantalize your taste buds! First come, first serve!

Here at my office, we've talked about extending this after Christmas, but dropping it down from a daily offering to just doing it on Fridays. No dieting for our group! :)

If you'd like to share something that works for you, please leave me a comment. And be sure to link yourself over at Shannon's, the creator of Works-For-Me Wednesday.

I was hoping for a tip on how to lose 12 lbs by Christmas- or not gain 12 lbs by christmas... Cookies? Not a problem here. My office is my home- and my home is a bakery!

LOL! I thought this was about losing lbs too! Great idea though.

Ha! Love it! Yesterday we had our church Women's Christmas party and I didn't eat a thing all day so I could just enjoy the meal. It worked fine but really, not having breakfast is NOT healthy.

This is a great idea!

Interesting idea!

Out of curiousity, do you get a lot of extra traffic by leaving links to your blog in comments on lots of other blogs? Just wondering if it would be worth my time to cut and paste... :o)

LOL! I, too, thought this post was for losing 12 lbs by Christmas and I thought that seemed a bit unrealistic : ) !!

What a fun way to share treats!

Thanks for stopping by my site. I will have to peruse your site a little later when the kids are sleeping.

what a neat idea and a great idea to taste some goodies without doing all the baking yourself :)

And a great way to try some new tasty things!

Golly, if I worked at your office, I'd be in real trouble. I have virtually no will power. None. If a bag of Oreos were to ever grace my kitchen, I'd hoover a column in about 5 minutes flat. With a glass of WHOLE FAT milk as a chaser.

Thanks for dropping by by site! Have a great rest of the week!
