WFMW: The Kitchen Edition
It's time to post yet another WFMW tip. Shannon is hosting a kitchen edition this week!

I do a lot of baking in my household. While traveling, I found stumbled across a type of whisk I'd never seen before... a stainless-steel ball whisk...in a specialty kitchen store. I bought two different sizes.

I've looked for them in stores in my area, but haven't found them. Then, the other day I found them for sale on Amazon.com.

These whisks are fantastic! They're great for mixing both wet and/or dry ingredients. The thing I love about them is that the food you're mixing doesn't get stuck in clumps on the whisk, like they do with the egg whisks that I used to use.

If you haven't tried a stainless-steel ball whisk, I encourage you do do so! You'll love it!

Stainless-steel ball whisks work for me! To see what works for others, be sure to check out the other links at Shannon's, the creator of Works-For-Me Wednesday!

Now this is something I would love to have. I don't think this edition of WFMW is going to be good on my budget - LOL :) !!

I have never heard of a stainless steel ball whisk. But I love anything that makes cooking and baking better. I'll have to see if they carry those around here.

Oh I have to get one of these for my mom. She loves to have the latest gadget and this one is actually useful. I bet Amazon would have them. Great tip!

Woo Hoo!! Finally a good reason for my 1 year old to have made my wisk mysteriously disappear! Now I can buy one of these, I do hate when the dough gets all stuck in the regular wisks... Thanks for the tip!

I've seen these in Williams-Sonoma around here and am always just SO tempted to buy one. I never completely understood the concept behind them though but you just made that clear as ever to me. This is my next "to buy" item. Thanks so much for recommending these! =)

I've seen those before, but I never knew if they worked any better. I'm thinking I might need to get one of these now. ;)

I have never seen this gadget before! I have to find one now, what a great idea. By the way, those photos on your site, on the left hand side, did you take those? They would make wonderful subjects for paintings!

I have looked at those a couple of times, and now I think I'll just have to buy one!

I must say, my Irish heart was taken with your pictures. Beautiful. Makes my longing to visit there before I die even stronger!

God bless, Leni

Ingenious! I despise the clumps that get stuck inside a regular whisk.

At 7:57 AM, Blogger Robin said...

Oooh, I love the non-clumpiness idea. I use my whisk for sifting, too. Do you think it would work for that or would the balls snap flour all over the kitchen?

I've never heard of this - but it sounds great!

This is new to me :)
I am going to order one, my pampered chef wisk (although I use it often) annoys me!
Thanks!
Have a great Wednesday.

I've seen these before--it is good to hear a review of them. I think I'll get one too. I was just mentally cursing my regular whisk yesterday as pancake batter was all clumped inside of it.

This is just fabulous. I can't wait to find me one of these! I use a whisk to make pancakes and the batter always gets clumped up. This is perfect! Thanks for the tip!
