Favorite Ingredients Friday (Garlic Shrimp)
Good Friday to you all! It's time for another Favorite Ingredients Friday recipe exchange!

My recipe this week is out of one of my favorite cookbooks, Betty Crocker's Good and Easy cookbook. I like to serve this over steamed rice, but you can serve it over noodles too!

My recipe this week is out of one of my favorite cookbooks, Betty Crocker's Good and Easy cookbook. I like to serve this over steamed rice, but you can serve it over noodles too!
Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 large carrot, cut into julienne strips (1 cup)
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
Preparation
- Heat wok or 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil; rotate wok to coat side.
- Add garlic; stir-fry 1 minute. Add shrimp; stir-fry 1 minute. Add carrot; stir-fry about 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm and carrot is crisp-tender. Stir in cilantro. Serve over rice or noodles.

Ohhhh - that sounds sooooo yummy - I am definitely going to have to try that one (and try to coerce my kiddos to each shrimp - I can't figure out why they don't understand how scrumptious it is!!)
