WFMW (How to get your spouse to do dishes)
It's time to post yet another WFMW tip. This week, I've decided to go for a bit of humor. I need to lighten things up because it's proving to be a really rough week thus far.
So, do you want to know how to get your spouse to do the dishes without nagging? I have your answer!
Go buy a Bosch dishwasher! :)
I kid you not, since we bought this dishwasher a couple of weeks ago, Oronzo has been downright eager to do the dishes!
The other night, when we were discussing what to make for dinner, he wanted to go with the option that created the most dirty dishes so he could fill up the dishwasher! How crazy is that?
This dishwasher is really neat. It's got lots of bells and wistles, adjustable wracks, attachable extras to keep your silverware from falling off, and to keep small parts in place. It has an internal heating element so if a small part were to fall to the bottom of the dishwasher, it wouldn't melt.
Best of all, our dishes have never looked so sparkling clean! We used to have to wash our dishes to wash our dishes, using the dilapitated dishwasher that came with the house we bought 2 years ago. Now, we throw in our dishes with only scraping off the chunks and it really works!
One of the huge selling points for Oronzo was the fact that it's one of the quietest dishwashers on the market. It's so quiet that if it weren't for a built in red laser, we wouldn't know it was running! Hooray!
Granted, this dishwasher isn't the cheapest on the market, but it's worth every penny that we saved for the past 2 years to purchase it (we paid with our debit card, not our credit card)!
So getting my spouse to do dishes by purchasing a Bosch works for me, maybe it'll work for you. To see what works for others, be sure to check out the other links at Shannon's, the creator of Works-For-Me Wednesday!

I miss my dishwasher! We moved into an older home a couple of years ago and there isn't one! The horrors!
OH TO BE WITHOUT A DISHWASHER! That IS a HORROR! I went through that when we moved into an old family house and had to do dishes for 6 (SIX!) people! Your washer is beautiful, hmmm, I don't think I've ever heard people refer to an appliance that way, so YAY FOR YOU! And YAY FOR YOU on using debit instead of credit! and YAY on getting DH involved in dishes! Wow, you are on a roll!
Sounds absolutely fantastic!
I am so jealous! First because of your hubby, second because I wash my dishes before they get washed!
You mean you can wash sippy cups and their parts and they stay in place? Or if they do get loose they won't melt on the heating element? Oh, I want that in my kitchen!!
What a cool dishwasher! That's great that your DH loves it and I hope for you that he keeps it up and the "new-ness" doesn't wear off too soon! LOL
I admit that I'm a bit jealous. The dishwasher that came with our house is... well... not so good to put it mildly. We've been looking around, but need to wait a bit before making a purchase. Glad to hear it works for you.
Ooh -- the dishwasher sounds fantastic! I do have to say that I don't have to worry about my dishes though, when my hubby and I got married we made a deal, I'll cook and he'll clean up afterwards.:) Sometimes I help him though. :) I'll have to remember the brand name, I agree that the money on a really good dishwasher would be worth it because ours isn't so hot. (I haven't been able to comment on your site for a while because for some reason my computer freezes when I come to your site -- I don't know why, but its only yours. Sorry :)
LOL!! I guess its worth a try! I hope you're doing well and hanging in there. I'm thinking of you!
Thanks for the tip - If mine ever lets me down I like the look of yours - sometimes it's best to go for the better model then you get the job done right!!
Although my husband routinely does the dishes/loads our dishwasher anyway, I have to say that your Bosch sounds really nice. I'll keep it in mind when we're ready for a new one!
